Love it when little kittens strike the attack pose, they think they look threatening, but they just look cute:

Cats Balancing Oranges
I am more amazed that these kitties sit so still and close to one another for such a length of time than by the balancing of oranges: http://www.petplace.com/cat-videos.aspx?id=782&utm_source=catcrazynews001et&utm_medium=email&utm_content=petplace_article&utm_campaign=dailynewsletter

I am both glad and surprised that our "work cat" Izzy has not figured out how to do this: http://video.aol.com/video/what-a-cat-will-do-for-a-drink/2843330884?a_dgi=aolshare_email

Cats Were of Value to Mariners
Ancient mariners believed that cats could foretell the weather and were therefore an important member of the crew. If a cat began to play it meant that a gale was ahead and so it was said that the cat had "a gale of wind in her tail". Small ripples on the surface of the sea are called cat's paws said to be caused by the ghosts of ship's cats dancing ahead of the wind. However, sailors would never have a black cat aboard since they would be considered bad luck whereas a multi-colored cat was considered lucky and would be sent to climb the mast to "put the storm devils to flight".
